An important note. Some essays ask for reasons and solutions, not problems and solutions. Writing about a reason (or cause) is not the same as writing about a problem.

One of the biggest problems facing the world today is global warming. Many scientists believe that our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases is having a heating effect on the atmosphere, and this could be very dangerous for human life. This essay will examine the problem of global warming and suggest some ways of solving the problem.

For example, suppose a writer's stated purpose is to explain how wine is made. A sequential pattern would be effective in this case because it breaks the process down into a specific series of steps which should be followed in a precise order. Notice that a series of related smaller steps are grouped into one larger category. Thus, a process which involves many specific steps can be simplified by highlighting the most fundamental steps, which helps the reader understand the process and remember its key parts.


Finally , what about the philosophical problem? It is not logically contradictory to say an all-powerful and all-loving God tolerates so much evil when he could eradicate it? Why do bad things happen to good people? The question makes three questionable assumptions.

The problem can be stated very simply: If God is so good, why is his world so bad? If an all-good, all-wise, all-loving, all-just, and all-powerful God is running the show, why does he seem to be doing such a miserable job of it? Why do bad things happen to good people?

I left school 9 months ago with good exam grades, but been unemployed since. I am considering moving abroad and hope that this would increase my chances of finding employment.
